San Diego: Bizarre Crash May End Up Being a Major Crime 09272021 (UPDATE 9-29-21)

A male who is a former employee at the “Rancho La Paloma” Horse Ranch was seen riding down a side dirt road towards the back of the ranch. He was not allowed onto the ranch property.
The son of the woman who owns the horses saw the male and gave chase after him in his car. It’s not known what transpired but the male on the bike was hit at high speed by the male in the car.
The victim was carried close to 40 feet down the road, and the driver of the car lost control and crashed. The cyclist was rushed to Mercy Hospital with what is believed to be major injuries.
The driver had to be extricated from the car and was also transported with serious injuries. The road is closed for the SDPD’s Collision Investigation Team. This could turn into an attempted homicide or a homicide.

The SDPD Homicide Div has joined the Traffic Div to investigate this incident as the bicycle victim is not expected to live. The incident is believed to be deliberate.
